Biden's Rising Approval in US Election... Trump Heads to Swing States

With the U.S. presidential election approaching this November, Democratic President Joe Biden's approval ratings are rising in battleground states, while Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump is campaigning in the northern battleground states of Wisconsin and Michigan.

According to the Associated Press and other sources on the 31st of last month (local time), former President Trump is scheduled to visit Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the 2nd, when the Wisconsin primary election takes place, to hold campaign rallies.

This will be former President Trump's first campaign rally since November 16 in Ohio. Trump, who is facing four criminal indictments and is currently on trial for defamation charges among others, has been focusing intensively on managing his legal risks.

Meanwhile, since President Biden's State of the Union address on the 7th of last month, he has been campaigning in battleground states including Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and North Carolina. Although he had been trailing former President Trump in these battleground states, recent polls have shown Biden gaining ground, with some states showing him leading Trump.

In a recent poll released by Bloomberg News, President Biden leads former President Trump by 1 percentage point in the battleground state of Wisconsin and is tied at 45% in Michigan.

Meanwhile, both the Democratic and Republican parties are preparing for presidential primaries this week in four states, including the battleground state of Wisconsin, as well as New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Although both President Biden and former President Trump have secured the number of delegates needed to become their parties' presidential nominees, in Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, voters have the option to select 'No Preference' as their choice.
