Selection of 50 Student Clubs for Elementary, Middle, High, and Special Schools in the District
Expansion of Student-Participatory SW and AI Education Activities... Spreading Educational Culture
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center will select 50 SW·AI education student clubs from elementary, middle, high, and special schools within Busan from April to December and support the operation of student participation-based SW·AI education programs.
This program is conducted to expand student participation-type SW·AI educational activities and spread the culture of SW·AI education.
Student clubs are composed of at least five students from the same school and one supervising teacher to conduct student-led voluntary research activities, collaborative activities among members, and experiential SW·AI education. The clubs operate with themes such as SW·AI education to solve real-life problems and convergence-type SW·AI education linked to the curriculum.
Students develop creative and convergent competencies to rationally and procedurally solve various real-life problems through various educational activities such as participation-centered experiential learning and special lectures.
Additionally, these clubs will participate in the ‘SW·AI-based Project Competition’ and the ‘Artificial Intelligence Camp’ held in July and August respectively, engaging in various activities to cultivate computational thinking, proper AI ethics awareness, and establish a sound information culture.
Lee Seong-hwan, Director of the Busan Education Research and Information Center, said, “I hope students grow into future talents equipped with computational thinking skills and creative problem-solving abilities through SW·AI education club activities,” and added, “We will continue to support substantial club activities so that students grow not only with informatization capabilities leading future society but also with digital ethical awareness.”
