Mannyeongyo Bridge and Yeonji in Yeongsan-myeon
Namji Gaebiri, along the Nakdong River
At this time of year, spring flowers are everywhere throughout South Korea.
From the 4th to the 7th of this month, Changnyeong-gun in Gyeongnam Province will hold the 19th Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival, renowned for its history and tradition, at Namji Sports Park in Namji-eup.
There are several spring flower spots in Changnyeong. The cherry blossoms around ‘Mannyeonggyo’ and ‘Yeonji’ in Yeongsan-myeon, and the ‘Gaebiri Weeping Cherry Blossom Road’ in Namji have become quite popular places these days. It is difficult to find parking nearby even on weekdays, not to mention weekends.
The canola flowers at the Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival are not flowers that wither quickly; they display their beautiful appearance for quite a long time. You can see the canola flowers before and after the festival period as well.
