Applications Open from April 1 for Participants in the Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting 880 participants for the Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year program, a flagship youth policy of the 8th Gyeonggi Province administration, which provides young people with opportunities to explore career paths and design their futures. Applications will be accepted from April 1 to 26.

Eligibility is for youth aged 19 to 39 as of the announcement date (April 1), born between 1984 and 2005, and applications can be submitted individually or as a team. For those who have completed military service, the application age limit is extended by the length of service, allowing those born up to 1982 to apply. The program will begin with an orientation at the end of May and run from June through November.

Support funds of up to 5 million KRW per person will be provided for project execution, and starting this year, a new "Opportunity Plus" program has been introduced to provide additional funding to outstanding participants on top of the 5 million KRW.

The additional funding can be up to 3 million KRW per team and allows for a 4-week extension of the project period.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation will also strengthen post-program support by linking participants with employment and startup programs in Gyeonggi Province and public institutions for one year after the project ends.
