Daejeon City-KORAIL to Provide Vehicle and Driver Support for Foreign Tourists Starting April

Daejeon City announced that it will operate the ‘2024 Korail-Linked Tourism Program’ starting April 1, providing travel vehicles and drivers for tourists visiting Daejeon in collaboration with Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail).

Tourists can choose places to visit from 12 courses across 5 themes (Classic, Full of Culture, Full of Romance, Unique Experience, Special) that connect major tourist attractions in Daejeon. Upon verifying their train receipts, vehicles and drivers will be provided according to the size of the visiting group.

For group visitors of 12 to 40 people, large buses will be provided; for 4 to 11 people, vans; and for small groups of fewer than 4, passenger cars will be supported.

If in-person tours are difficult to conduct, non-face-to-face mission tours will also be available. By applying for the tour online in advance, traveling around Daejeon, and verifying mission tour evidence on various SNS platforms, participants will receive Daejeon city goods and gift certificates from Seongsimdang.

Applications can be made through the online reservation site and the LetsKorail website.

Noh Gi-su, Director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon City, said, “We hope tourists visiting Daejeon can enjoy a more comfortable and safe trip through the Korail-linked tourism program.”
