Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the opening parade marking the start of the "18th Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival" on the afternoon of the 29th.
The opening ceremony, which marked the beginning of the festival, was held from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Starting with the "Flower Path Walk" featuring about 450 participants including the military band and local residents, the festival's opening was made even more meaningful with a video congratulatory message from Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, performances by the Volunteer Orchestra, musical actress Jung Sun-ah, and a traditional military band.
The "18th Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival" will be held from March 29 to April 2. Visitors can enjoy a "spring flower picnic" while admiring the splendid spring flowers beautifully decorated along Yeouiseo-ro.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "We have carefully prepared everything from safety to event design and side events so that everyone visiting the festival can fully experience the feast of spring," adding, "I hope that through this 'Spring Flower Festival' combined with rest, the daily lives of our residents will bloom brightly like spring flowers."
