Available at the changed bus stops near Children’s Hall from the 29th
Increased convenience for bus users through distance adjustment between bus stops
- New stop added, making transfers easier by being closer to Children’s Grand Park Station
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has improved bus accessibility by establishing and relocating bus stops on Gwangnaru-ro near Children's Grand Park.
A new bus stop was established near Exit 2 of Children's Grand Park Station, relocating the stop that was near the back gate of Konkuk University to the entrance area of the Children's Hall. This reduces the travel distance for users of the Children's Hall and makes subway transfers more convenient.
On Gwangnaru-ro, which passes from Guui-dong to Gunja-dong, there were two bus stops: Guui Intersection stop at the beginning of Guui Intersection and Children's Hall stop near the back gate of Konkuk University. However, the distance between these two stops was far, and they were also quite distant from Children's Grand Park Station, causing inconvenience due to long walking distances when using the bus.
Accordingly, last year the district collaborated with Gwangjin Police Station to adjust the locations of the bus stops. They conveyed residents' opinions about the need for bus stop maintenance to Seoul City, requested approval for the establishment and relocation of bus stops, and obtained final approval from Seoul City.
Starting from the first bus on the 29th, three routes?302, 3216, and 119?will operate at the relocated bus stops.
Following the establishment and relocation of the bus stops, the district carried out maintenance to ensure user convenience, including removal of obstacles such as trees and green belts, installation of braille blocks, sidewalk repairs, and installation of bus shelters and Bus Information Terminals (BIT).
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, stated, “We will continue to communicate closely with residents and do our best to create a convenient and safe transportation environment.”
