GS Construction Appoints President Heo Yunhong as CEO

GS Construction held a shareholders' meeting on the 29th and appointed President Heo Yunhong as the CEO. President Heo, the son of Heo Changsoo, Honorary Chairman of GS Group, joined GS Caltex as a new employee in 2002 and then moved to GS Construction in 2005 after working as a staff member. He has gained experience in various fields including finance, management innovation, and plant business.

Since 2019, he has served as the head of the New Business Promotion Office, actively promoting future strategic businesses such as overseas market development, water treatment, and modular systems. In November of last year, President Heo took on the role of CEO of GS Construction, stepping to the forefront of management. Last month, after receiving shares from his father, he became the second largest shareholder of GS Construction. Through this appointment as an inside director, he obtained legal status as CEO. GS Construction will operate under a dual CEO system with Heo Changsoo and Heo Yunhong serving as co-CEOs.
