Rapid Treatment Support for Children at Care Centers
On the 28th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 29th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with six medical institutions in the area to support medical services at the 'Icheon City 24-Hour Childcare Center.'
This MOU aims to provide prompt transfer to medical institutions and ensure safe treatment for children using the 'Icheon City 24-Hour Childcare Center,' which began operation on the 29th, in case of sudden accidents or illnesses requiring medical attention.
The MOU includes participation from two hospitals: Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Icheon Hospital (Gwango-dong) and Bareun Hospital (Jungri-dong), as well as four clinics: Dream Kids Pediatrics Clinic (Changjeon-dong), Myeong Pediatrics Clinic (Bubal-eup), Han & Kim Pediatrics Clinic (Bubal-eup), and Park Pediatrics Clinic (Janghowon).
The 'Icheon City 24-Hour Childcare Center' is a project promoted as part of the city’s 8th term public pledges and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, serving children aged 0 to 12. The center is entrusted to be operated by the Welcome Welfare Foundation.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to successfully operate the center to create a child-friendly childcare city and overcome the low birthrate."
