Full Effort to Secure National Budget for Three New Projects Worth a Total of 54 Billion Won

Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 29th that Nam Seong-hyun, the head of the Korea Forest Service, visited the site of the 2025 national treasury project on the 27th.

On that day, Director Nam gave a special lecture titled "The Forest Renaissance Era for Living Well with Forests" to Muan County public officials, toured the 'Muan Mulmaji Healing Forest' established last year, and closely inspected the site of the 'Muan County Forest Plant Resource Successor Nursery Project,' which is being promoted with a total project cost of 20 billion KRW (10 billion KRW from the national government and 10 billion KRW from the county government).

Guided on-site by Governor Kim San, three industries with a total scale of 54 billion KRW were proposed as 2025 national treasury projects: climate-responsive urban forests, eco-friendly wooden ocean towers, and a public forest leisure sports center. Governor Kim showed enthusiasm by directly briefing the project plans, receiving a positive response from the Korea Forest Service.

Governor Kim San said, "We welcome the Korea Forest Service chief's visit to Muan County and are grateful that our county's forest projects are actively progressing through close cooperation with the Korea Forest Service," adding, "We will continue to carry out green projects for the harmonious coexistence of humans and forests."
