NH Investment & Securities forecasted on the 29th that Y2Solution will benefit from the growth of the U.S. electric vehicle charging market.
Kyunggeun Kang, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, stated, "The U.S. plans to install 500,000 chargers by 2030 through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program," adding, "Since July this year, entry barriers for Chinese companies have been established, allowing Y2Solution to enjoy indirect benefits."
He continued, "Companies that meet requirements such as 55% U.S.-made components and local assembly/production receive subsidies covering up to 80% of installation costs," and added, "The expansion of LG Electronics' North American electric vehicle charger business, a key client, is also an opportunity factor."
He emphasized, "LG Electronics is building a production plant in Texas, USA, and plans to expand production within the year to include 175kW fast chargers and 350kW ultra-fast chargers."
Researcher Kang said, "Y2Solution is a power supply unit (PSU) manufacturer with 30 years of experience," and expressed expectations that "due to weakened competition and production efficiency improvements, profitability in the display PSU sector will improve." He further noted, "Due to the prolonged downturn in the display industry, competitors such as Lianchang and HN E have been scaling back their businesses," emphasizing, "As an indirect beneficiary, Y2Solution's market share within its major client LG Electronics has increased."
