According to BBC and other media on the 28th, Charles III said in a voice message, "We benefit greatly from those who extend a hand of friendship to us, especially in times when help is most needed."

This voice message was pre-recorded by Charles III in mid-April instead of attending the Royal Maundy Thursday foot-washing ceremony of the Church of England.

Charles III is also scheduled to attend the St. George's Chapel service at Windsor Castle with the royal family on the morning of Easter Sunday, the 31st.

British media reported that this will be the most important public event Charles III has attended since publicly announcing his cancer diagnosis earlier last month.

Charles III announced that he began cancer treatment early last month and has refrained from going out, but he has carried out official duties such as meeting external visitors at Buckingham Palace.

This year's royal Easter service is expected to be smaller in scale than usual.

Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family will attend, but Catherine, Princess of Wales, who recently disclosed her cancer diagnosis, her husband Prince William, and their three children will not attend.
