Saewool Nuclear Headquarters Signs Agreement to Support Health Checkups for Residents of Onyang-eup

Support of 660 Million KRW for Comprehensive Health Checkup Fees

Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed an agreement on the 28th with the Onyang-eup Nuclear Power Coexistence Council and Onyang-eup residents to support health checkup projects for the residents of Onyang-eup at the Taehwa 1-ri village hall in Onyang-eup, pledging to provide 660 million KRW in support.

On the 28th, Saeul Nuclear Power and Onyang-eup Nuclear Power Coexistence Council signed an agreement for the Onyang-eup Resident Health Checkup Support Project.

The health checkup targets are residents aged 55 and older living in Onyang-eup. Residents wishing to undergo checkups can apply to the Onyang-eup Nuclear Power Coexistence Council with recommendations from their village chiefs and then receive checkups at their preferred hospital among Good Morning Hospital, Ulsan Central Hospital, Donggang Hospital, and Joeun Samjeong Hospital.

Since 2018, the health checkup project for Onyang-eup residents supported by Saewool Nuclear Power has provided a total of 2.3 billion KRW in support through 2023, with a total of 3,593 people having undergone checkups.

Choi Jong-gyu, chairman of the Nuclear Power Coexistence Council, said, “The health checkup project receives better responses from residents than any other project,” adding, “I hope support will continue to be provided for the health and welfare improvement of residents.”
