Cultural Performance Enjoyed on Friday Afternoon at Daehangno Artist's House

Arts Council Lounge Concert Opens on the 29th

At 12:30 PM on a leisurely Friday afternoon, a stage for enjoying cultural and artistic performances will be set up at Yesulgaui Jip in Daehakro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Arts Council Korea) announced on the 28th that it will hold the "Arko Young Artists Lounge Concert Season 1 (Lounge Concert)" in the lounge on the 2nd floor of Yesulgaui Jip in Daehakro.

The Lounge Concert will be held from March to June on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 12:30 PM in the lounge on the 2nd floor of Yesulgaui Jip. The stage will be graced by Arko Young Artists Jo Yae-eun (soprano), Kim In-gyu (composition), Lim Ji-won (violin), Kim Min-kyung (vocal), Choi Song-a (piano), along with special guests Won Jae-yeon (piano), Jo Hong-shin (piano), and Lee Dong-ha (piano).

The Arts Council Korea received applications from the selected artists of the Youth Artist Support Project in the music field for three years (2022?2024) and plans to provide performance opportunities to a total of 12 artists. Additionally, to offer audiences high-quality performances and visual experiences, a Steinway grand piano was specially brought in and placed in the lounge.

The Lounge Concert was prepared with a trial performance by soprano Jo Yae-eun on the 15th. It will officially open on the 29th with a performance by special guest pianist Won Jae-yeon. Won Jae-yeon gained attention by winning second place and the Audience Award at the 2017 Italy Busoni Competition. Currently, he is actively performing domestically and internationally as a Steinway artist.

Anyone can watch the performances by making a sponsorship donation for young artists (one donation per person, minimum 3,000 KRW) as a lounge usage fee. Hand-drip coffee or decaffeinated tea will be provided to the audience. Reservations can be made in advance through a Google Form.
