Bucheon City and Gwangmyeong City were found to have performed the best in their internal audit activities.
Gyeonggi Province held the '2024 Province-City/County Internal Audit Activity Evaluation Awards Ceremony' on the 28th at the Suwon Convention Center. The Grand Prize was awarded to Bucheon City and Gwangmyeong City, the Excellence Award to Anyang City and Pocheon City, and the Encouragement Award to Pyeongtaek City and Gwacheon City.
Since 2015, Gyeonggi Province has been evaluating the internal audit activities of cities and counties annually to improve institutional audit systems and promote preventive audits and proactive administration.

Starting this year, evaluation indicators for internal audit activities aimed at resolving inconveniences in the daily lives of residents were newly established, and indicators for promoting proactive administration were strengthened, enabling audit organizations in cities and counties to operate with a resident-centered approach.
In a congratulatory video for the internal audit activity evaluation awards ceremony, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon said, "Congratulations to the cities and counties selected as excellent institutions," and urged, "I ask Gyeonggi Province and the cities and counties to work together as one team to improve the integrity of Gyeonggi Province in a way that residents can feel."
