Asan City Council Appoints Choi Min-su as Legislative and Legal Advisor

Consultation on Legislative Matters and Legislative Policies

The Asan City Council of Chungnam announced on the 28th that it has newly appointed a legislative advisor for consultation on legislative matters and legislative policies.

The newly appointed legislative advisor, Choi Min-su (Director of the Local Autonomy Legislative Research Institute, Director of the Local Autonomy Research Institute at Korea Polytechnic University), will henceforth provide consultation on △ legislative matters related to the enactment and revision of local ordinances △ interpretation of higher laws and related regulations for the enactment and revision of local ordinances and consultation on legislative policies △ advice on council operations and review and processing of bills △ and other council-related matters. The term of office is from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026.

Chairman Kim Hee-young said, “As the legislative activities of Asan City Council members continue to expand, the area of legal consultation has become increasingly important,” and added, “We expect him to actively fulfill his role as an advisory member for the next two years.”
