LG Electronics' 'Styler,' the original clothing care device, has been newly renewed. While its primary purpose used to be storing clothes and deodorizing them, it now focuses more on removing wrinkles from garments. I borrowed and used LG Electronics' 'All New Styler Objet Collection' for about 10 days.

First of all, I immediately liked the sleek design as soon as I received the product. The neat black rectangular shape seemed to fit well in any space. The front is made of a subtle mirror, effectively serving as a full-length mirror. Although fingerprints remained when opening and closing the product, it was highly practical to be able to see myself immediately after putting on clothes stored in the Styler.

On the exterior, there was a touch-operated monitor. The operation method was simple enough that I didn’t need to look at the manual. The number of courses has also significantly increased. The All New Styler supports a total of 41 courses. By installing the ThinQ app, users can select various courses, including those dedicated to difficult-to-manage materials such as cashmere, silk, fur, and leather, as well as courses for delicate sportswear like yoga clothes and swimsuits. Frequently used courses can be edited and accessed via the touch panel or the app.

The clothing care time has been reduced. The rapid styling course allows clothes to be cared for quickly in just 18 minutes, making it convenient. The standard sterilization course time decreased from 79 minutes to 64 minutes, and the standard course time shortened from 35 minutes to 29 minutes, saving both time and energy.

Opening the door of the All New Styler revealed hangers at the top for hanging clothes, and at the bottom were the drainage tank, water supply tank, and a built-in high-pressure steamer. The new product can manage five pieces of clothing and one pair of pants.

The biggest difference from the previous model is the built-in high-pressure steamer. While the existing styler had a shaking function to reduce wrinkles in clothing, it now features an internal steamer that allows for more precise wrinkle removal.

The most significant difference from the previous model is this built-in high-pressure steamer. While the existing Styler had a shaking function to reduce wrinkles in clothes, the new model features an internal steamer that allows for more thorough wrinkle removal, similar to ironing. The biggest advantage is that clothes can be cared for without a separate steam iron.

Above all, the powerful three-stage high-pressure steam enhances usability. You hang the clothes you want to iron inside the Styler door, pull out the steamer, and press the steam button in a simple structure. Setting the steam level to the highest stage released a tremendous amount of steam, quickly smoothing the clothes. Although it cannot create crisp pleats like a traditional steam iron, it removes wrinkles in a short time with little effort, making it very useful during hectic mornings.

However, the steamer itself was quite heavy. Even after ironing just the front and back of a single garment rather than multiple pieces, I felt strain on my wrist and arm. Since the steam is very hot, caution is needed to avoid burns during use. The preheating time before use is also about three minutes, so it seems convenient to press the button in advance when planning to use the product.

The All New Styler’s moving hanger has also been upgraded. Unlike the previous moving hanger that only moved left and right to shake off dust, the new product adds a twist motion that rotates in place, allowing for more delicate dust removal. LG Electronics explains that the fine dust course shakes clothes up to 350 times per minute, effectively removing fine dust that is difficult to eliminate with air alone.

Due to the strong movement, there was some inconvenience as clothes made of slippery materials or those not properly secured often fell off the hanger and had to be rehung repeatedly. The clothes-fall detection alert, which sounds an alarm or sends a notification through the app when clothes fall, was convenient.

The dual heating TrueSteam feature is also new. It adjusts the amount of steam according to the course using dual heaters, styling clothes from deodorizing to sterilizing and wrinkle reduction. Even after eating meat, hanging a coat that is difficult to wash immediately in the All New Styler completely removed the meat smell, allowing me to wear clothes that felt freshly dried and fluffy.

Additionally, an automatic ventilation system that circulates air without opening the door after use has been added, and the dehumidification function has dramatically improved. Unlike before, when dehumidification required opening the door, the new model can dehumidify up to 10 liters per day with the door closed.

The All New Styler has surpassed 10,000 units in cumulative sales in less than a month since its launch. LG Electronics is reportedly responding to the surging orders by increasing daily production from about 1,000 units to 1,400 units. The newly transformed All New Styler is expected to make clothing care much more convenient for busy modern people.
