Operation of Permanent Testing Centers Conducting Six Events Organized by the Chamber of Commerce
Starting from the end of next month, residents of Osan in Gyeonggi Province will be able to take exams such as the word processor and computer utilization skills tests at a test center within Osan city without having to visit other regions.
On the 28th, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will operate a permanent test center for national qualification exams conducted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will be established at the Osan Station Transfer Center starting from the end of April.

The permanent test center reflects a request made by Mayor Lee Gwon-jae during a 'Chicol Date' event held last year with local youth, where job seekers pointed out the absence of a computer utilization skills test center within Osan and asked for a solution. Until now, young people in Osan have had to travel to other cities to take related certification exams.
Osan City will provide the facilities and equipment for the permanent test center, while the Osan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will operate the test center, which has been set up on the first floor of the Osan Station Transfer Center.
Accordingly, starting from the end of next month when construction is completed, this test center will offer exams for six categories administered by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry: ▲Word Processor ▲Computer Utilization Skills ▲Secretary ▲Trade English ▲Hanja ▲Computerized Accounting Operator.
The city plans to support unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 residing in the city, as well as short-term workers with less than one year of employment, by subsidizing certification exam fees up to 300,000 KRW per person annually to strengthen youth job-seeking capabilities.
Meanwhile, Mayor Lee visited the test center construction site on the 27th and urged, "I hope the facilities are thoroughly installed so that examinees visiting here, including the youth, do not experience any inconvenience during their exams."
