Volkswagen Group Korea announced on the 28th that it has appointed Steve Cloete as the new president of Audi Korea. Starting May 1, President Cloete will oversee the overall business operations of Audi in Korea.
Steve Cloete, the new president of Audi Korea, has over 27 years of experience in the automotive industry, having worked with various car brands such as BMW and Hyundai Motor Company in South Africa and Bahrain. From 2014 to 2019, he was responsible for after-sales and dealer network operations at Audi Australia. Since 2019, he has been leading the sales and network development division at Audi Australia.
Meanwhile, the former president of Audi Korea, Lim Hyun-gi, is preparing for a new position. Til Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea, said, "We sincerely thank President Lim for his dedication and significant contributions to the development of Audi Korea over the past 20 years." He added, "As an early member of Audi Korea, President Lim showed exemplary leadership and commitment, remaining steadfast despite the brand's ups and downs."
