Sacheon-si Holds Briefing Session on Support Policies for Relocated Employees of the Space Aviation Agency

Over 100 Attendees Including Internal Staff of the Ministry of Science and ICT

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it provided information on support policies for relocated employees of the Space Aviation Agency during an internal staff briefing held by the Complex Community Office of the Ministry of Science and ICT.


The briefing, organized by the Space Aviation Agency Establishment Promotion Team, was conducted for internal employees of the Ministry of Science and ICT, attracting significant interest with about 100 ministry staff members attending.

Director Lee Jae-hyung explained the overall affairs of the Space Aviation Agency, including the responsibilities of each department and preparations for the agency's opening. Sacheon City’s Aerospace Division Chief Lee Sook-mi provided guidance on support policies for relocated employees of the Space Aviation Agency, followed by a Q&A session.


The city plans to implement 29 policies to ensure the stable settlement of relocated employees and their accompanying families, including group move-in to apartment complexes, housing loan interest support for relocated employees, monthly rent and child-rearing allowances, and Sacheon Love Card support.


On the day, Director Lee Jae-hyung stated, “The recruitment briefings for the Space Aviation Agency held successfully in Gyeongnam Sacheon, Seoul, and Daejeon saw 807 applicants competing for 50 positions, recording an average competition rate of 16 to 1, which is an encouraging result. For the successful establishment of the Space Aviation Agency, the capabilities of existing government department employees are also necessary, so we ask for your great interest in the agency.”


Division Chief Lee Sook-mi said, “With the opening of the Space Aviation Agency, we have prepared bold support measures to create an innovative ecosystem centered around it. We hope you will lend strong support to the Space Aviation Agency, a strategic institution for South Korea’s leap to becoming a space powerhouse.”
