[2024 Asset Disclosure] Yoo Jeong-bok, Mayor of Incheon, 1.56 Billion KRW... Dong-gu Mayor of Incheon, 5.59 Billion KRW

Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok reported assets worth 1.56 billion KRW, an increase of 89 million KRW compared to last year.

According to the 2024 regular asset change report for public officials released on the 28th by the Government Ethics Committee for Public Officials, Mayor Yoo declared total assets of 1.56 billion KRW, including houses and deposits owned by himself, his spouse, and children. He ranks 12th among 17 metropolitan governors.

Deputy Mayor Park Deok-su reported 2.92 billion KRW, and Incheon City Council Chairman Lee Bong-rak reported 820 million KRW.

Among Incheon’s basic local government heads, Kim Chan-jin, Dong-gu District Mayor, reported the highest assets again this year with 5.59 billion KRW.

Following him are Yoon Hwan, Gyeyang-gu District Mayor with 5.41 billion KRW; Lee Young-hoon, Michuhol-gu District Mayor with 1.64 billion KRW; Lee Jae-ho, Yeonsu-gu District Mayor with 1.58 billion KRW; Kim Jeong-heon, Jung-gu District Mayor with 1.1 billion KRW; Kang Beom-seok, Seo-gu District Mayor with 1.08 billion KRW; Moon Kyung-bok, Ongjin County Mayor with 890 million KRW; Park Jong-hyo, Namdong-gu District Mayor with 810 million KRW; and Cha Jun-taek, Bupyeong-gu District Mayor with 680 million KRW.

The average assets of 54 individuals under the jurisdiction of the Government Ethics Committee for Public Officials, including the Incheon Mayor, 10 district and county heads, first-level public officials, and city council members, is approximately 1.214 billion KRW, which is about 32 million KRW less than the previous reported amount.

Meanwhile, Incheon City disclosed the asset details and changes of a total of 131 people, including 122 local district and county council members and 9 heads of public-related organizations under the city, through the city bulletin, separate from the Government Ethics Committee’s asset disclosure.

The average assets of these individuals amount to 850 million KRW, a decrease of 20 million KRW compared to last year. Among them, 67 people (51.1%) saw an increase in assets, while 64 people (48.9%) experienced a decrease.
