The giant panda 'Pubao' will be relocated to China on the 3rd of next month.

Everland announced Pubao's move to China and the farewell schedule through its website and social media on the 27th.

Pubao is scheduled to move to the Wolong Xueshuping Base of the Giant Panda Conservation Research Center located in Sichuan Province on the 3rd of next month for a new beginning. On the morning of the 3rd, Pubao will depart Everland and be transported to Incheon International Airport in a special vibration-free vehicle used for semiconductor transport, then fly to China on a chartered plane.

Everland plans to hold a farewell event for Pubao for about 20 minutes starting at 10:40 AM on the day of the move so that customers can support Pubao's new start together. Although visitors will not be able to meet Pubao inside the vehicle, the vehicle carrying Pubao will slowly move from Panda World to the Rose Garden among the customers standing by the roadside, and the keepers will deliver a greeting on behalf of Pubao at the Rose Garden.

Keeper Kang Cheol-won will board the chartered plane with experts from the China Panda Conservation Research Center to support Pubao's relocation and will return to Korea afterward.
