Amid financial difficulties and a crisis in the construction industry, Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has rolled up its sleeves to support local construction companies.

Earlier in January, the district established the "Plan to Revitalize the Local Specialized Construction Industry" and is actively promoting measures to increase the participation of local construction companies in public and private construction projects.

The district continuously provides information on local specialized construction companies to construction sites and encourages them to enter into priority negotiations and contracts. It also promotes the procurement of local construction labor and the use of locally produced materials and equipment.

To ensure this more firmly, on the 26th, the district signed a win-win agreement with six medium- to large-scale construction sites within the area. The signing ceremony was attended by Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok and representatives from six major construction sites, including Seoul Arena and Changdong Private Station.

On this day, they discussed measures for mutual growth and development of the construction industry in Dobong-gu and concretized plans to revitalize the local specialized construction industry.

According to the agreement, contractors will faithfully implement ▲ active use of locally produced materials and equipment ▲ procurement of local construction labor ▲ priority negotiation for subcontracting with local specialized construction companies in Dobong-gu, while Dobong-gu will actively support and cooperate with administrative procedures related to the construction.

Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, “We expect more tangible results by cooperating with medium- and large-scale construction sites in the area,” adding, “Based on close communication and cooperation, we will strive to achieve definite outcomes such as reaching 10 billion KRW in subcontracting contracts this year.”
