Local Residents Can Register and Edit New Information After Identity Verification
‘Disabled Convenience Facilities Map’ Available on Gwangjin-gu Website and Smart Seoul Map
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is operating the ‘Disabled Convenience Facilities Map’ service to support smooth outdoor activities for people with disabilities and mobility-impaired individuals.
The Disabled Convenience Facilities Map contains location information for various facilities including ▲welfare facilities for the disabled ▲electric wheelchair charging stations ▲stores with customized ramps ▲disabled parking lots ▲free shuttle buses, and more.
In particular, the map provides routes and stop times of free shuttle buses equipped with wheelchair lifts in a map format, allowing users to easily check nearby stops on their mobile phones, which is expected to greatly assist the mobility of people with disabilities and mobility-impaired individuals.
The convenience facilities map service is designed so that local residents interested in the mobility rights of the disabled can directly register and modify facility information. With a simple identity verification on the map screen, any resident can register new locations or correct incorrect information.
The district plans to regularly update facility information, discover new data, and expand and supplement the Disabled Convenience Facilities Map service through this resident participation feature.
Residents who need the convenience facilities map can access it anytime and anywhere through the Gwangjin-gu website or the Smart Seoul Map.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “The Disabled Convenience Facilities Map is expected to greatly help reduce the inconveniences faced by mobility-impaired individuals in daily life,” and added, “Gwangjin-gu will continue to actively develop customized policies for each target group so that no marginalized groups are left behind and all residents can be satisfied.”
