RS Auto collaborates with Schneider following Rockwell... Targeting mobile and wearable robots

Expanding Robot System Business in Partnership with Global Company Schneider Electric
Proactive Response Based on Robot Motion Control Technology and Customer Experience
Collaboration with Rockwell Automation for Next-Generation Controller Development

RS Automation announced on the 26th that it has signed a strategic partnership with the global company Schneider Electric Korea to create synergy in the robot system solutions business. Along with the development of next-generation controllers with Rockwell Automation, RS Automation has strengthened its partnerships with three leading global companies: Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, and Yaskawa Electric through this new alliance.


The memorandum of understanding (MOU) and contract related to the robot system business were signed at Schneider Electric Korea's headquarters in Seoul. Future plans were also announced. By combining Schneider Electric's robot system design expertise and software technology with RS Automation's system integration and engineering capabilities, they are determined to offer differentiated solutions to customers.


An RS Automation representative stated, "We plan to enter the domestic robot system market by utilizing Schneider Electric's robot solutions, a leader in the automation field, along with our company's robot motion control products." They added, "We will share Schneider Electric's Digital Twin software, which will be a competitive advantage in the future robot industry including collaborative robots, and expand cooperation to the production of related products in the future."


Previously, RS Automation and Schneider Electric have maintained a long-term business partnership in the fields of energy management and automation. Through this strategic alliance, both companies are expected to share their solutions in the specialized robot system field and establish groundbreaking business models in the smart manufacturing sector.


Kang Deok-hyun, CEO of RS Automation, emphasized, "Beyond the research, development, and commercialization of robot motion control components conducted so far, we will secure new growth engines in the robot system field." He added, "Leveraging the technological competitiveness and customer experience accumulated in the fields we have excelled in, we aim to proactively create new markets and prepare for the future robot market, including service robots, mobile robots, and wearable robots."
