Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 26th that it has begun delivering the CLE 200 2-door coupe model.
The CLE coupe is a 2-door coupe model that harmoniously combines the concepts and technologies of the C-Class and E-Class. Mercedes-Benz Korea sells the CLE coupe in two lineups domestically: the CLE 200 coupe and the CLE 450 4MATIC coupe.
In terms of design, the CLE 200 coupe shares many features with the CLE 450 4MATIC coupe. It emphasizes sportiness and elegance with the unique proportions of a 2-door coupe, a long hood with a shark nose shape, a long wheelbase and short overhangs, and a muscular rear end.
The interior offers an intuitive digital experience through a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a driver-focused 11.9-inch vertical LCD central display. A clean-looking metal structure trim is applied as standard, along with a multifunctional sports steering wheel with heating support, and a newly developed integrated headrest sports seat design exclusive to the CLE coupe.
The latest 3rd generation MBUX infotainment system is also applied to the CLE 200 coupe. This supports the 'Routine' function, which automates frequently used convenience features. Drivers can automate convenience functions such as temperature settings, ambient lighting, audio, and parking cameras by linking them to specific conditions they desire, such as date and time, location, internal and external temperature, and vehicle speed.
Additionally, MBUX Navigation Premium is supported, providing optimal routes and real-time traffic information from T-map based on the latest map data. Starting in the second half of this year, 'T-map Auto,' a vehicle-optimized navigation system for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, will also be officially introduced.
The CLE 200 coupe is equipped with an inline 4-cylinder (M254) gasoline engine delivering a maximum output of 204ps and a maximum torque of 32.6 kgf·m. It also features a mild hybrid system with a 48V onboard electrical system. Through the 2nd generation integrated starter generator, it provides up to 17kW of additional electric motor power when starting the engine, enabling smooth and quick engine starts, as well as gliding, boosting, and regenerative braking. This results in a high combined fuel efficiency of 12.1 km/ℓ for the CLE 200 coupe. The price of the CLE 200 coupe is 72.7 million KRW.
