Emergency Medical Support for Healthcare Facilities
Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will adjust and operate internal medicine services at public health centers as two additional public health doctors are dispatched for four weeks starting from the 25th to support emergency medical care at medical institutions.
Since Uljin-gun has been operating with a total of three public health doctors in a vacant state, it urgently adjusted the medical services at nine public health centers.
With this adjustment, the public health centers in Myeon, Geunnam-myeon, Jukbyeon-myeon, and Hupo-myeon, where nearby hospital use is possible, will be closed.
Additionally, to ensure the medical safety of residents through maintaining the emergency medical system, Uljin-gun Health Center and Pyeonghae Branch, responsible for the northern and southern areas, will provide medical services five times a week starting from the 25th. Onjeong-myeon Public Health Center will operate twice a week, and Geumgangsong, Maehwa, and Giseong Public Health Centers will conduct rotating medical services once a week.
County Governor Son Byung-bok said, “We ask for the understanding of residents regarding the closure and adjustment of public health center medical services due to the dispatch of three public health doctors,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure normal medical services by securing additional new public health doctors in April.”
