The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lee Jong-ho) announced that the 'Fab Service Integrated Information System (MoaFab),' which consolidates national nanofab services scattered across institutions into one online platform to provide one-stop service for fab users, will officially launch its service starting from the 25th.
MoaFab conducted a pilot operation for about two months from January 8th, targeting three institutions: the Korea Nanotechnology Research Institute, the Korea Nano Technology Institute, and the Nano Convergence Technology Institute. During the pilot service period, the total number of MoaFab service applications was 3,377. In the second half of the year, the service support institutions will be expanded to include the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), the Semiconductor Research Center at Seoul National University (ISRC), and the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST).
Minister Lee Jong-ho stated, “We expect that the provision of MoaFab services will mark a significant leap forward in the national nano and semiconductor competitiveness.”
