BMW Group's premium compact car brand MINI is introducing its new pure electric vehicle model to the domestic market for the first time. With a new product lineup in the second half of the year, it aims to re-enter the imported car '10,000 units sales club' this year.

MINI Korea announced on the 25th that it will hold the 'MINI Heritage & Beyond' event at the K Hyundai Museum of Art in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 29th of this month to the 21st of next month. This exhibition allows visitors to view MINI's history and design changes at a glance. It is organized into zones such as the 'Heritage Zone' and the 'Beyond Zone' according to the passage of time. Through this, not only discontinued models but also new models to be released in the future were showcased.

The new electric vehicle model, first unveiled worldwide last September, will also be introduced domestically for the first time. These are the new 'All Electric MINI Cooper' and 'All Electric MINI Countryman.' The flagship model, the new Electric MINI Cooper, leads MINI's electrification, which declared full electrification by 2030. As the 5th generation model continuing the heritage of the MINI Cooper, future MINI Coopers will be sold exclusively as electric vehicles.

The new model's driving range has been significantly increased to a maximum of 402 km based on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) standard. This is more than twice the 159 km driving range of the 'MINI Electric' launched domestically in 2022, shedding the stigma of being a 'city-use electric car.' The iconic round center fascia, a symbol of MINI's identity, has been changed to a 240 mm diameter high-resolution round OLED display. The round OLED, developed first in the world by Samsung Display, has been installed in MINI vehicles for the first time.

MINI Korea is aiming to re-enter the '10,000 units club,' a success indicator in the imported car industry, by launching two new electric vehicle models after June and three internal combustion engine MINI Cooper models in the third quarter. Previously, MINI Korea surpassed 10,000 units in sales for the first time in 15 years since its entry into the domestic market in 2019. It sold more than 10,000 units for four consecutive years until 2022 but recorded 9,535 units last year.

Meanwhile, this event offers attractions such as a MINI photo zone, stamp tour event, and MINI racing simulation game. Admission is free, but only a limited number of people per session can enter with prior reservation. Those wishing to participate can make reservations through Naver Place 'MINI Heritage & Beyond.' For more details, inquiries can be made to the MINI Heritage & Beyond Operations Office.
