Recommendation and Reception of Meritorious Persons for Haenam County Residents' Day Administrative Development
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is accepting nominations for contributors to the county's development who have greatly contributed through dedicated volunteer spirit in celebration of County Residents' Day.
According to the county on the 23rd, the awardees will be honored at the 51st Haenam County Residents' Day ceremony held on May 1.
The nomination categories include one Proud Haenam Person and about 25 contributors to county development. The Proud Haenam Person is a resident or expatriate who has contributed to the development of Haenam-gun in various fields of county administration, elevating the pride of Haenam people.
The nominees for contributors to county development are individuals or organizations that have built long-term achievements in their respective fields and serve as role models. Nominations are accepted in six categories, including regional development and enhancement of residents' welfare.
Nominators must be heads of county office departments, eup/myeon chiefs, or heads of related organizations or groups. The nomination deadline is April 3. For more details, contact the General Affairs Division of the county office or the General Affairs Team of the eup/myeon.
A county official stated, “We hope for active interest and participation so that we can find the unsung heroes who contributed to regional development and raise the honor and pride of the region.”
Meanwhile, since the Proud Haenam Person award began in 2011, a total of 29 people have been honored so far.
