Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will officially operate the Dolmeori Beach Return-to-Fishing Village as the 'House Camping Site' starting from the 20th.
According to the county, the Dolmeori Beach 'House Camping Site' was promoted with the purpose of revitalizing marine tourism through the modernization of fishing villages and ports and improving the quality of life for fishing village residents.
As one of the eight major projects of the 'Dolmeori District Fishing Village New Deal 300 Project,' a community-based living SOC project, it consists of eight 10-pyeong accommodation units to welcome tourists visiting Hampyeong.
The usage fee is 140,000 KRW on weekdays and 160,000 KRW on weekends during the off-peak season, and 160,000 KRW on weekdays and 180,000 KRW on weekends during the peak season. It operates alongside auto caravans and glamping.
Lee Sang-ik, the mayor of Hampyeong, said, "We hope that tourists visiting Hampyeong will freely use and enjoy various marine tourism facilities to experience the beautiful nature and culture." He added, "We will do our best to improve living conditions for residents and to establish the Dolmeori District as a representative local tourist destination."
