Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it will hold a spring discount event at the online agricultural specialty product shopping mall ‘Najumall’ until the 19th of next month.
This event is voluntarily participated by stores in Najumall (najumall.kr) to revitalize the local economy, offering various items at prices up to 15% off the regular price.
The main items include meat, fermented skate (hong-eo), fertilized eggs, and kimchi. In particular, customers can find the ‘Minari Samgyeopsal Package’ consisting of Han-don pork raised healthily in clean Naju and seasonal specialty minari (water parsley).
It is packaged in small portions suitable for a single meal, making it a cost-effective product expected to be very popular among consumers.
A city official said, “We plan to hold various events in the future to reduce the burden on consumers’ shopping baskets,” adding, “We will strengthen promotional and marketing efforts to benefit both farmers and consumers.”
Meanwhile, companies (farmers) wishing to join Najumall are being recruited on an ongoing basis.
Eligibility for joining requires direct production or processing of agricultural, livestock, or specialty products from Naju City, or processed foods, and applicants must have a business registration certificate and a mail-order sales business report.
