Comprehensive engineering specialist SSC Engineering is raising expectations for this year's performance with a series of consecutive contract wins.
On the 22nd, SSC Engineering announced that it has additionally secured the equipment portion of the 'Silicon Anode Material Production Plant Construction Project' in South Korea from Nexeon, a UK-based silicon anode material technology company. The contract amount is withheld from disclosure due to business confidentiality. The contract period is until October this year.
Through this contract, SSC Engineering will undertake the entire EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) for the project that Nexeon is promoting within the national industrial complex in Gunsan-si, Jeonbuk Province. The company had previously secured detailed design services, architectural and civil engineering works, and machinery procurement contracts for this project in three phases last year and earlier this year.
Wang Daesik, Vice President of SSC Engineering and head of the EPC business, stated, “We will leave a successful project reference in the secondary battery field through efficient project management. Through this, we will realize the highest customer satisfaction and further secure a solid competitive edge in orders in the silicon anode material sector, where demand is rapidly increasing as a next-generation battery material.”
He added, “The series of large-scale contracts since the beginning of the year is expected to drive a strong performance increase, especially in the second half of the year when revenue recognition will be in full swing. We will continue to push to expand high-quality new orders in the projects currently participating in bidding.”
Meanwhile, earlier this month, SSC Engineering secured an EPC contract for the largest hydrogen gas production plant in South Korea, being constructed by K&D Energen in the Onsan National Industrial Complex in Ulsan. With a total value of 92.4 billion KRW, this is the largest single project contract ever secured by SSC Engineering.
