Products Without Aspartame Now Available in Marts and Restaurants in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon Areas

Gomso, Muaspatam Gomso Makgeolli New Packaging Launch

Gomso announced on March 1st the launch of new packaging and its entry into supermarkets and restaurants in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas.


The newly released packaged Makgeolli is known to be free of aspartame, a substance classified as possibly carcinogenic (Group 2B) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).


In addition to the aspartame-free Gomso Makgeolli, Gomso also launched an aspartame-free Gomso Dongdongju with a volume of 1,700ml and an alcohol content of 6%.


Gomso stated that their raw Makgeolli and raw Dongdongju are products approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, capable of being preserved for the longest period of 60 days in Korea without any change in taste during that time, which is expected to receive great acclaim among drinking enthusiasts.

The volume is 750ml, and the alcohol content is 6%, characterized by a clear and clean taste and refreshing aroma through a unique fermentation process.


Gomso said they are conducting continuous research and quality control to provide customers with the best experience in taste, aroma, and health, and are striving to deliver consistent flavor and satisfaction.


A Gomso representative said, “The name ‘Gomso’ is an abbreviation of ‘Gomgomi Sodamhada,’ meaning thoughtfully and appetizingly prepared,” adding, “We take pride and passion in traditional liquor production, using the finest ingredients and aging techniques, so we can confidently recommend our products.”


Meanwhile, Gomso plans to introduce various events and content on its company blog in the future.
