'Humanities on the Road' and 'School of Wisdom' are projects that support learning the values and wisdom contained in the humanities through various methods such as reading, writing, exploration, recitation, and discussion at cultural facilities nationwide close to the daily living spaces of the public, helping them find meaning and direction in life.

This year, 700 humanities programs will be supported. Selected cultural facilities will receive 10 million KRW per program. Cultural facilities and program planners wishing to participate in the recruitment can submit their project applications and plans through the 'Inmun Network' website from the 22nd until April 22nd.

'Inmun Network' comprehensively supports humanities projects, including program operation recruitment, project management, connecting program planners and cultural facilities, learner registration, and evaluation.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism eliminated the divisions that previously separated the projects by three types of facilities?libraries, museums, and living culture facilities?and integrated them into a single 'Humanities on the Road' project as of last year. Accordingly, competition among facilities and the quality of programs are expected to increase. The standards for program operation expenses, which were previously different by project, have also been unified.

Additionally, to alleviate the difficulty for facility staff to plan programs directly, starting this year, humanities programs planned by individuals or organizations with planning capabilities such as humanities university lecturers, university research institutes, and publishers can be selected and applied for by the facilities. The 'School of Wisdom' project, which offers advanced humanities lectures at the level of university liberal arts courses to gain wisdom for life, will be expanded from being operated only in libraries to all cultural facilities.

Lee Haedon, Director of Cultural Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "The humanities play a role like a compass that cultivates deep insight and empathy about humans and society, helping to find meaning and direction in life. We hope that capable program planners and cultural facility operators will take great interest and participate in the 'Humanities on the Road' and 'School of Wisdom' projects, where the value of the humanities can be experienced at nearby cultural facilities."
