Kim Seong-woo, the local party committee chairman and former preliminary candidate for the 22nd National Assembly election in Gimhae-eul, Gyeongnam, declared his support for candidate Jo Hae-jin on the 20th.

Kim, the preliminary candidate, said, "I was deeply disappointed by the strategic nomination result of the Public Official Election Commission, but after more than 40 days of anguish, I concluded that Jo Hae-jin is the person who can create a greater Gimhae," adding, "I will serve as the general election headquarters chief and contribute to the victory in the general election."
