The Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 20th that they are investigating some of the posters who uploaded the video on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.

They are suspected of editing together TV speech scenes from February 2022, when President Yoon was a presidential candidate, and posting them on social networking services (SNS).

The 46-second video features a person presumed to be President Yoon saying, "I, Yoon Suk-yeol, have clung to ideologies that deviate from common sense, ruining the Republic of Korea and causing suffering to the people." The Korea Communications Standards Commission has ordered the video to be blocked.

The police have identified multiple posters who uploaded the video and are verifying whether the video’s creator and the posters are the same person.
