[2024 Housing Culture] 'Moving Storage Cabinet + Wall-Embedded Furniture' Maximizing Space Utilization

[2024 Housing Culture] 'Moving Storage Cabinet + Wall-Embedded Furniture' Maximizing Space Utilization 'H Transforming Wall & Furniture II'

Hyundai Construction is presenting a new paradigm in residential spaces by introducing the H Series with the concept of ‘One Space Multi Use’.

The recently upgraded ‘H Transforming Wall & Furniture II’ is a design product that maximizes the usability of the space connecting the kitchen and living room by adding wall-embedded furniture to the moving storage cabinet first introduced in 2022. With the push of a button, a large storage cabinet can be moved, and with remote control operation, the dining table and chairs embedded in the wall can be arranged all at once.

When the moving storage cabinet is positioned toward the living room, it can be used as a large pantry, flap cabinet, or home office with folding chairs to store various items such as groceries and kitchenware. The space secured inside the flap cabinet for office supplies, laptops, and books also includes built-in outlets and lighting, allowing it to be conveniently used as a workspace when needed.

When the moving storage cabinet is moved toward the kitchen, it transforms into a ‘dining space’ and ‘home gym.’ Opening the wall-embedded four-person dining table and chairs creates a space for meals. When not used as a dining area, it can be folded to maximize space utilization. The dining table and chairs are motorized and can be folded and unfolded with remote control. A smart mirror-integrated door is installed on the front of the moving storage cabinet, adding media healthcare functions.

Hyundai Construction applied a design capable of withstanding high loads, considering the need to move large furniture. Various devices ensure safety as well.

The H Transforming Wall & Furniture II was recognized for its design competitiveness in premium residential products by being selected as an Excellent Design (GD) in the ‘2023 Good Design Award’ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy last September. It is planned to be expanded to the D’HE and Hillstate brands in the future.

A Hyundai Construction official stated, "Family composition, consumer needs, and lifestyles are becoming more diverse," adding, "We will maximize space efficiency with technology leading residential trends and provide differentiated value unique to Hyundai Construction’s apartment complexes for residents’ healthy and happy lives."
