According to the Guro Police Station in Seoul, a report was received early that day claiming to have received a threatening email stating, "I will detonate a bomb during the game and harm Shohei Ohtani and others." The email was written in English, and the sender claimed to be a Japanese lawyer. It is currently being verified whether the sender is actually Japanese.

The police are tracking the suspect who sent the email and plan to deploy 30 special forces and 120 riot police to check for any explosives.
So far, no dangerous situations such as detection of explosives have occurred.
The two-game opening series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres held at Gocheok Dome over two days starting today is the first official MLB game held in Korea and the ninth MLB regular season opening game held outside the United States. Ha-seong Kim of San Diego and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers are participating.
