The probe station is equipment combined with a tester to inspect the electrical characteristics of semiconductor wafers. In 2018, it received the Best of Best Award in the Red Dot Industrial Design Concept category, one of the world's top three design awards.

Since developing the equipment in 2003, Semes has achieved the milestone of shipping 4,000 units in just over 20 years. The company explained that this achievement is especially meaningful as it was accomplished in the back-end process sector, which has been gaining importance in the semiconductor industry recently.

CEO Jeong Taekyung said, "The shipment of the 4,000th unit is a result of the recognized quality and reliability of our equipment," adding, "We will increase sales through continuous technological development and expansion of our sales network."
