Successful Fourth Stadium Concert in North America
The group 'TWICE' successfully held their fourth North American stadium concert in Las Vegas, following performances in Los Angeles and New York.
On the 18th, their agency JYP Entertainment announced that TWICE held a solo concert on the 16th (local time) at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as part of their fifth world tour 'READY TO BE.'
That day, TWICE performed the title track 'ONE SPARK' from their mini 13th album 'With YOU-th,' which topped the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200,' for the first time in a solo concert, receiving enthusiastic cheers. They also delivered a poignant performance of the original English single 'I GOT YOU,' which was a pre-release track from 'With YOU-th.'
JYP shared that TWICE energized the audience with a parade of their representative songs that have received global love, and during the encore segment where they spun a roulette wheel to randomly select songs, new tracks from 'With YOU-th' were added, enhancing the enjoyment of both watching and listening, reflecting the lively atmosphere at the concert.
In May 2022, TWICE made history as the first K-pop girl group to enter a North American stadium by holding two encore concerts at the Bank of California Stadium (BMO Stadium) in Los Angeles, concluding their fourth world tour 'Ⅲ' (Three).
Additionally, in June last year, as part of 'READY TO BE,' they showcased their strength by holding solo concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and MetLife Stadium in New York in July.
The Allegiant Stadium, where this concert was held, is a venue reserved for world-renowned pop stars, having hosted performances by Taylor Swift, Beyonc?, BTS, and others. It was also the site of last month's NFL Super Bowl, the largest sports festival in the US. TWICE became the third K-pop group, after BTS and BLACKPINK, to perform on this stage.
With 'READY TO BE,' TWICE is solidifying their status as a 'global stadium headliner.' In May last year, they became the first K-pop girl group to perform at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai and Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium in Japan.
In November of the same year, they set a record as the first K-pop group to perform at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium in Australia. In December, they took the stage at Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. In February this year, they proved their immense popularity by performing at Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico, and Allianz Parque in S?o Paulo, Brazil.
TWICE will continue their world tour 'READY TO BE' by meeting fans at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on July 13-14 and Kanagawa's Nissan Stadium on July 27-28. TWICE is the first K-pop girl group to perform at the 75,000-seat Nissan Stadium.
