Discovering Menus Using Local Agricultural Specialties
Consulting and Marketing Support for Award Winners
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province has embarked on discovering desserts using local agricultural specialties.
Anseong City announced that it will hold the 'Anseong Mat-chum Dessert Contest' from the 18th of this month until the 25th of next month. This contest, held for the first time this year, is a project aimed at discovering local food products to revitalize regional tourism.
The contest targets desserts developed using agricultural specialties produced in the region. Additional points will be awarded for menu development linked to tourist attractions or for utilizing distinctive local themes such as 'Baudeogi' and 'Anseong Mat-chum.' Any business located in Anseong City that can develop and commercialize dessert products can participate.
The city plans to select five winning entries through document screening, on-site inspection, and physical evaluation: one first prize, one second prize, and three third prizes.
The first prize winner will receive 10 million KRW, the second prize 5 million KRW, and the third prizes 3 million KRW each as commercialization support funds. Along with this, the city will provide various supports such as expert matching, customized consulting, marketing, and securing sales channels for the winning works.
