Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam is accelerating the promotion of the ‘Hamyang Sakae 4U Development Project’ to attract population inflow and improve the residential environment.

After forming a dedicated organization for project promotion, the county held a residents' briefing session for landowners and township residents, and is currently proceeding with compensation procedures for the acquired sites, including basic surveys of land and obstacles.

In addition, a service for establishing the basic plan, feasibility review, and zone designation of the project is planned to be commissioned in April. Through this service, a detailed plan regarding facility layout, income structure, and operation methods will be established to proceed with administrative procedures.

The Hamyang Sakae 4U Development Project is a project in which the county will directly create 50 Odoichon rental houses, 80 eco-complex camping zones, and 20 anti-aging smart farms by 2027, and promote village enterprises and professional gardener training programs to create a complex living and cultural space combining housing, tourism, and jobs.

In November last year, the ‘Hamyang Sakae 4U Development Project’ was selected in the Gyeongsangnam-do public contest as an investment project for the regional support account of the local extinction response fund, securing a project budget of 21.3 billion KRW (10.65 billion KRW from the fund and 10.65 billion KRW from the county).

In connection with this, the county plans to apply for the Balanced Special Conversion Project to create a garden using local forest resources that both residents and tourists can see and enjoy, securing a project budget of 9 billion KRW (3 billion KRW from the province and 6 billion KRW from the county).

A county official said, “The Hamyang Sakae 4U Project is a project to improve residential conditions and enhance regional vitality to create a village where both original residents and migrants can live well,” adding, “Since there are some misunderstandings among residents regarding the project content and purpose, we plan to resolve them through active communication with the residents.”
