Seoul Shilla Hotel Selected as Official Hotel for 'Asia's 50 Best Restaurants'

The Shilla Seoul Hotel announced on the 18th that it has been selected as the official hotel for the ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ and will host an international gourmet event.

Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants is an awards ceremony that has been selecting the best restaurants in the Asia region since 2013. This year marks the first time the awards ceremony will be held in Seoul. To commemorate this, renowned overseas chefs will gather in Seoul to hold various gourmet events over three days from March 24 to 26.

The Shilla Seoul Hotel, chosen as the partner hotel for ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants,’ will host a 'Chef’s Dinner' event where famous international chefs showcase premium cuisine and ingredients. The hotel’s fine dining restaurants, La Yeon and Continental, will also present sophisticated K-food.

La Yeon and Continental are globally recognized Korean and French fine dining restaurants. Last year, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, they presented the ‘Four Hands Gala,’ a fusion of authentic Korean and Western fine dining. For this event, the two restaurants plan to offer menus that naturally highlight the strengths of both Korean and Western cuisines.

Since its opening, The Shilla Seoul Hotel has been a representative hotel in Seoul, hosting world-class events such as the Seoul Olympic Headquarters Hotel, the IOC Seoul General Assembly, the World Economic Forum, and the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit. The ‘Yeongbingwan,’ which applies a modern concept to Korea’s traditional exterior, is recognized as a unique venue where events can be held simultaneously in a banquet hall accommodating over 150 people and an outdoor garden space.
