Changes in Organized Storage Habits... Eunpyeong-gu Supports 'Sweet Home' Service

Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that starting this month, it will provide the ‘Sweet Home’ service to 30 single-person households living in the area with an income below 150% of the median income.

‘Sweet Home’ is a project that dispatches organizing and storage experts to single-person households who find it difficult to organize their living environment alone, helping with tidying up and supporting home cleaning services.

While organizing together with the beneficiaries, the service provides guidance on organizing tips suitable for each household’s environment, and also supplies organizing kits such as storage baskets and hangers.

Applications can be made after registering on the Single-Person Household Support Center website, and the required documents are a health insurance payment confirmation and a resident registration certificate.

In particular, during the Sweet Home service process, the district will actively identify single-person households in urgent need of external help, such as those experiencing social withdrawal, isolation, or hoarding, and connect and support them with tailored services like professional counseling and network-building programs.

A participant in last year’s Eunpyeong-gu Sweet Home program said, “The house, which I didn’t even want to enter, has become a space where I can rest comfortably,” and added, “I couldn’t have done it alone. It gave me the strength to live again.”

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “Tidying up is something that tends to be neglected over time and is daunting to do alone,” and added, “I hope the Sweet Home service will be an opportunity to support a pleasant living environment for single-person households. Furthermore, we will strive to minimize care gaps and support the recovery of a healthy daily life.”
