Requests Support for Building Consensus on Current Issues and Next Year's Projects
Ulsan City is taking a proactive approach to securing the national budget for next year.
On the 18th, Ulsan City announced that Executive Vice Mayor Seo Jeong-wook will visit the Ministry of Economy and Finance to build a preliminary consensus on regional issues and next year’s projects.
Vice Mayor Seo plans to meet sequentially with key officials, including the Social Budget Review Officer, Economic Budget Review Officer, and department heads of the Budget Office at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
They intend to make every effort to ensure that Ulsan City’s major national budget projects for next year are reflected as much as possible.
Following this, they will visit the Total Project Cost Management Division to discuss the total project cost of the Nongsu~Gangdong road construction project, which connects to the Ulsan Outer Ring Road.
Executive Vice Mayor Seo Jeong-wook said, “The key core projects of Ulsan City for 2025 will be finalized after the national budget securing strategy briefing scheduled for the end of March. We will continuously discover future growth projects for Ulsan and actively persuade central government ministries to ensure they are included in next year’s government budget proposal.”
Local governments must apply for the 2025 national budget to central government ministries by the end of April, and the ministries submit their budget proposals to the Ministry of Economy and Finance by the end of May. After review, the government budget proposal is submitted to the National Assembly in early September.
