Damyang-gun 'Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus' Receives Great Response from Residents

Damyang County is buzzing with the ‘Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus,’ which provides customized medical and welfare services to residents. It has received great responses from residents who live far from urban areas and suffer from poor transportation and medical environments, making it difficult to receive basic services.

According to Damyang County in Jeonnam on the 17th, the ‘Visiting Jeonnam Happiness Bus’ visited Wonyul Village in Geumseong-myeon on the 15th, offering various welfare services and volunteer activities.

About 20 volunteers from Damyang County provided residents of Wonyul Village with a variety of welfare programs, including medical services such as basic health checkups and dementia tests, as well as beauty and grooming, nail care (nail art), horticulture, and experience with unmanned terminals (kiosks).

In addition, the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled’s food truck beverage service and an exciting performance by the Ulala Senior Band active in Damyang brought joy to the residents.

An elderly resident expressed gratitude, saying, “They came directly to our village to check on our health and provided various practical experiences and enjoyable performances, allowing us to have a happy time.”

A Damyang County official said, “We thank the Jeonnam Happiness Bus staff and volunteers for providing customized welfare services to the residents,” adding, “We will continue to strive to improve the welfare satisfaction of county residents.”
