On the 17th, at the Blue Canyon Country Club (par 72, 6,511 yards) in Phuket, Thailand, Lee Ye-won shot a 4-under-par 68 in the final third round of the KLPGA Tour Blue Canyon Ladies Championship (total prize money $650,000) to secure a one-stroke victory (9-under-par 207). This marks her fourth KLPGA Tour win, six months after her major victory at the Hite Jinro Championship last October. The winner's prize money is $117,000 (approximately 150 million KRW).

Starting from a tie for 7th place, three strokes behind, Lee Ye-won made six birdies and two bogeys. Although she started shakily with a bogey on the 2nd hole (par 3), she joined the race for the title with consecutive birdies on the 3rd-4th and 10th-11th holes. After a bogey on the 14th hole (par 3), she recovered with a birdie on the 15th hole (par 5), and sealed her victory with a crucial birdie on the final 18th hole (par 4). Last year, Lee Ye-won topped the rankings in prize money, points for the overall title, and scoring average, winning three titles including one major.

Choi Min-kyung finished as runner-up (8-under-par 208) by shooting one stroke under par. Lee Je-young rose to third place (6-under-par 210) with a 4-under-par round. Defending leader Bang Shin-sil lost three strokes and dropped to a tie for fourth place (5-under-par 211). Park Joo-young, Park Min-ji, Lee Jung-min, and Hwang Yu-min joined the group tied for fourth. Park Gyeol, Han Jin-seon, Kim Min-seon7, and Kim Hee-ji are tied for 13th place (4-under-par 212). The KLPGA Tour will continue its schedule with the domestic season opener, the Doosan Construction We’ve Championship, held over four days from April 4 on Jeju Island.
