People Power Party Holds First Election Countermeasures Committee Meeting
Already Mentioning "200 Seats for the Opposition"
"Let's Be More Humble Before the People," Urges Party
Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman and General Election Countermeasures Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, said at the first Election Countermeasures Committee meeting held on the 17th, "This election will decide whether to regress or advance the Republic of Korea, and it will be an election to judge the parliamentary dictatorship of the (Deobureo) Minjoo Party, whose criminals brazenly run rampant and are shielded."
At the meeting, Chairman Han said, "If the Minjoo Party, Cho Kuk, and the successors of the Unified Progressive Party are forces trying to regress the Republic of Korea through a 'criminal alliance,' then the People Power Party is the future force and the advancing force."
At the meeting, Chairman Han pointed out, "The Minjoo Party has become Lee Jae-myung's private party, who even nominates the spouse's secretary of the representative, candidate Kwon Hyang-yeop, and can no longer be called a public party." He added, "Lee's Minjoo Party is already in an atmosphere of popping champagne, claiming '153 seats + α,' and Cho Kuk, their alliance partner, mocks our people by mentioning '200 seats for the opposition.'
He said, "Lee openly calls for the impeachment of a president with three years left in office, saying 'let's fire him.' He even said the government and the People Power Party are 'just a handful.' This reveals the true colors of the impeachment efforts by Lee Jae-myung's Minjoo Party and the regressive forces gathered with Cho Kuk and the successors of the Unified Progressive Party."
Chairman Han urged, "All the more, our People Power Party should show a humble attitude before the people and go all-in on livelihood reform and political reform to win the hearts of the people."
