Applications accepted via website until May 7, with 10 final works to be selected

Gwanak-gu, Temporary Fence Design Contest

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is holding the '2024 Starlight Gwanak Temporary Fence' design contest for the first time this year to create construction sites that harmonize with the urban environment.


The contest categories include public designs that not only symbolically represent the district's identity but also depict enjoyable daily life filled with participants' creative ideas.


Anyone interested in the district can participate, and those wishing to enter can download the application form from the website, submit it via email, and then upload it to the website.


Applications are currently being accepted and will be open until May 7.


The judging will be conducted through online voting (50%) and a professional judging panel (50%), selecting the final 10 works, which will be announced on the website on May 24.


The 10 selected works will receive a total prize of 12 million KRW and certificates: ▲Grand Prize (1 team, 4 million KRW) ▲Excellence Award (2 teams, 2 million KRW each) ▲Merit Award (2 teams, 1 million KRW each) ▲Encouragement Award (5 teams, 400,000 KRW each).


After signing a usage agreement, the 10 selected designs will be applied to the temporary fences of construction sites in Gwanak-gu for seven years. For more details, please contact the contest operation office or the Architecture Division of Gwanak-gu Office.


Mayor Park Junhee said, “As this is the first time holding the contest, we expect many citizens' interest and participation, and we will continue to hold it to create a premium city, Gwanak, designed together with the citizens.”
